Fueling Our Region's Future

Energy is all around us. It powers our homes, schools, hospitals, businesses, and communities. It helps keep people connected, supports local economies, and provides the resources that make everyday life possible.

Here in southwestern Pennsylvania, energy has helped shape our region for generations and continues to create opportunities for the people who live and work here.

But energy is about more than resources.

It's about people. The people who solve problems, build solutions, develop technology, protect the environment, communicate ideas, manage projects, and help keep our communities moving forward.

And one day, that could include you.

Why CNX Started the Academy

At CNX, we believe investing in students is one of the best ways to invest in the future of our region.

That's why we're proud of our CNX Mentorship Academy.

Through mentorship, career exploration, workplace experiences, and community partnerships, we're helping students discover opportunities, build confidence, and prepare for life after high school.

The Academy is part of our commitment to strengthening communities, developing future talent, and helping the next generation explore what's possible.

Because when local students succeed, our communities succeed.

Short-Service Employee (SSE)

The CNX Energy Short Service Employee (SSE) program is a paid, four-week training program developing essential industry certifications and baseline skills. Successful completion of the program progresses candidates to meet with company matches for a paid, 16-week internship rotation.

This year, we have 16 energy companies participating in the program. In 2025, all participants received at least one job offer upon completion of the program.

There's More than One Way to Build a Career in Energy

Whether you enjoy solving problems, helping people, working with technology, building things, protecting the environment, or leading teams, there may be a place for you in the future of energy.
